ACS712 current sensor board

The board has a 9-pin header for connecting to a standard computer serial cable. We use this cable in order to have a clean, reliable connection into the TS7260 board, through the ADC daughterboard. A male version of this connector, as well as the pinout, can be seen here. We use a female connector, so that we can use more common cabling.

The ACS712 is only available in tiny SOIC packages. Some companies (e.g. "Sparkfun" ) will sell the chip pre-mounted on an adaptor board. The adaptor boards are also available separately. We used some boards from Proto-advantage (SOIC to DIP adaptor,since at the time the board that looks better (Alternate) was not available.
