Jump to navigationJump to searchSelf-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology, or S.M.A.R.T in linux is enabled on some systems, so that we can monitor things like drive health and be able to replace a drive properly without lossing valuable data.
Smartd is a linux daemon that uses the SMART protocol to analyze hard drives.
