Hardware Problems
Gluon is fairly old, and has a few hardware issues.
- The CD-ROM drive in Gluon failed (drive belt snapped), and was replaced on 06/17/2010 with a spare from the server room which also seems to be broken. The tray works, but it doesn't appear to read disks successfully.
- Gluon has been freezing up a bit recently. I suspect it may be due to overheating, as I noticed that the power supply fan spins very slowly, and at one point stopped spinning entirely.
